Skateboards.ie is a small independent site about buying skateboards and scooters in Ireland. It is not a shop and it does not want to be one.
Why it exists
Buying a board here is harder than it should be. The Irish shops are good and there are not many of them. The big search results are written for American buyers, quote dollars, and recommend brands nobody here stocks. Since July 2026, ordering from a British shop to dodge that comes with customs charges most people do not see coming.
So this site does the boring part. It checks what Irish shops actually have, in euro, on a date we print on the page. It works out what an import costs before you commit to it. And it says when something is a bad buy, which a shop cannot really do.
How prices get here
By hand, off the shop's own page, on the date shown beside the price. We do not scrape and we do not use a feed. That means prices go stale, and a dated price you can verify is more use than an undated one you cannot. If you find one that has moved, tell us.
Where a shop does not publish something, we say that instead of filling the gap. One Irish shop does not publish delivery costs anywhere before the checkout. That is worth knowing, so we print it.
Nobody pays us
There are no affiliate links on this site. Every link to a shop is a plain link and we earn nothing if you use it. No shop has paid to be included, and none has been left out for refusing to.
That may change. If it ever does, it will be written at the top of every page it affects, not buried here.
What we get wrong
Prices move. Shops close, and at least one Irish skate shop appears to have gone quiet while this site was being built. Specifications on retailer pages are sometimes simply wrong, and where two sources disagreed we went with the shop's own listing and said so.
The e-scooter law is moving quickly right now, and pages about it carry the date they were checked. Nothing here is legal advice. For the current position, go to Citizens Information or the Road Safety Authority.
